Mission & Vision Statements

Mission Statement
The Historic Methodist CampGround is a plot of land that God has touched;
we are ground, cottages and Tabernacles where people have been moved by
the power of the Holy Spirit. We are a Community where Christian values and
traditions are central. We are a family who reaches out and invites people into
our community to share Gods love and acceptance. We strive to Nurture the
Spirit in a unique, peaceful setting for the community to experience – where God
and Nature embrace all.

The Historic Methodist CampGround promotes the Christian trinity. We look at
the camp ground as a living body with a mind and soul.
Our Body is the Facilities – preserving our historic buildings
Our mind and Soul is developed and nourished in our programing with education
and worship.
Vision Statement:
We will stay this loving community; By caring for our body (historic buildings)
by creating educational programs (to develop our minds) and to have Christian
programs in order to hear Gods words and have the Holy Spirit move us.

In order to do this we have to be good stewards and spend our time, talents and
resources on the redevelopment/renovation of the body. We have to honor our
past by preserving our Historic Buildings as we keep our gates open to the future.

While at the same time we need to keep the camp ground vibrant and alive with
programs, knowing at any time disaster can strike, we shall overcome it with our
Faith that God wants us here to do his work. We hold up old hymns like “My
Faith Looks Up to Thee Thou Lamb of Calvary Savior Divine!”
